Declaration

The request may, for the purposes of the national law applicable in designated States, contain up to five kinds of declarations, as provided for in Rule 4.17. The declaration must contain standardized wording as prescribed by the Administrative Instructions under the PCT. Declarations may also be furnished to the International Bureau within a time limit of 16 months from the priority date or at the latest, before completion of technical preparations for international publication.
