Kinds of protection

The applicant may indicate that the international application is for the grant, as far as any designated or elected State is concerned, of an inventor's certificate, a utility certificate, a utility model, a patent or certificate of addition, an inventor's certificate of addition, or a utility certificate of addition, depending on the respective national law instead of a patent. This choice has to be indicated by the applicant to the designated Office at the time the applicant performs the acts to enter the national phase.
