Right truncation
A special character such as an asterisk (*) that you can use to represent zero, one, or more characters at the end of a word. Any character or set of characters can replace the * in a search. In the context of the PATENTSCOPE® Search Service an * can be placed at the end of a word to represent any number of characters. Truncation is a synonym of wildcards.
