Reduction of fees

The international filing fee is reduced, as set out in the Schedule of Fees annexed to the Regulations, depending on the filing format of the international application, and for the benefit of applicants who are nationals of and reside in certain countries. In addition, the handling fee is also reduced for the benefit of applicants from certain Contracting States. Reductions/refunds of the international search fee may be granted if the International Searching Authority may benefit from an earlier search. Certain national Offices grant fee reductions for international applications upon entry into the national phase.
